Spray Tans are 100% safe. The active ingredient in a spray tan is D H A (dihydroxyacetone) which is known as an glycerin derivative. DHA has been approved by the FDA for external use only. It is listed in the regulations as a color additive for use in imparting color to the human body. The color achieved will be the perfect blend of your natural skin tone along with the reaction of the DHA. The tan becomes water-resistant as it begins developing within 8-12 hours with a longevity of 7-14 days with most solutions.
